SUBJECT: CAPSI 2022 - 22nd Conference of the Portuguese Association of Information Systems (Assomada, Santiago – Cape Verde, 3-5 November 2022) – 1st call for papers

 

On November 3, 4 and 5, 2022, the University of Santiago will host the Conference of the Portuguese Association of Information Systems, in its 22nd edition, in a joint organization with the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon and the University of Evora.

 

CAPSI 2022 is (since 2017) Indexed to SCOPUS.

 

The program of the 22nd CAPSI, on which we are working, should follow the model of the previous Conference, with presentations of communications, workshops and Doctoral Consortium in face-to-face and online sessions. This year the main theme of the Conference is 'Information Systems – Innovation in the Portuguese-speaking space', with the following sub-themes:

 

  • Digital Transformation (Social Impacts of IS and the Work of the Future; Information Systems and Sustainability; Block chain, Cryptocurrencies and New Business Models; Sharing Economy; Social Media)
  • Organization and Information Systems (Cybersecurity, Privacy and Ethics; Project Management; Health Information Systems; Electronic Government; Human Behavior and Digital Marketing in IS; Business Process Management)
  • Information Technologies (Person-Machine Interaction; New Digital Technologies; IT Adoption and Use; IT Value Creation)
  • Teaching and Research in IS (IS Methodologies; IS Development; Data Science; IS Curriculum and Teaching; Digital Teaching)

 

We count on your participation, either through the presentation of your research work, or through your participation in the various initiatives that we are preparing within the scope of the Conference.

 

Submission of works is open to the academic and business communities with relevant research and development work in the field of information systems. The documents to be submitted must be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish. In the 2022 edition, works in the form of articles will be accepted, which will be considered full-paper, must have a maximum of 6,000 words and respect the format defined for the Conference. The following types of work will also be accepted at the conference:

  • Articles of work in progress (research-in-progress paper): an article of work in progress presents preliminary results of an ongoing research work, and should contain between 2000 and 4000 words.
  • Poster: A poster presents initial research, ideas and models under discussion, and should only contain an abstract of 500 to 1000 words.

Articles must be submitted electronically and in DOC format, by July 09, 2022. Each article will be reviewed by at least two reviewers in a double-blind review. Authors should omit any reference to their name and contact details in the entire text of the article, including the bibliographic references section.
